Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance disk trays can now use the 14TB “capacity” disk instead of the 10TB disk for extra storage space. Each individual disk shelf can now support 336TB or 280TB when using additional read/write flash disk.

December 2018 also sees the release of new medium and high end controllers, the ZS7-2. When combined with the new disk capacity configurations now scale to 16PB of spinning disk storage or 8.8PB of Flash disk storage.
